Before joining the creative team at Risdall, Shannon worked as a graphic designer for the University of Minnesota School of Nursing where she helped develop N-Lighten, a first-of-its-kind new nurse residency assistance program funded through a Federal grant. Shannon was influential in the branding, web design, curriculum development and creation of promotional materials.
Creative thinking, visual communication skills and Scotcharoos (only the best Rice Krispy bars on the planet!)
As a student at the University of Minnesota, Shannon graduated with honors.
How do I even begin to choose?
In the winter, Shannon hits the slopes as a snowboarder. In the summer, she hits the lakes as a wakeboarder.
As a person who was born in Alaska and grew up in Ontario, Canada, Shannon likes to joke that she's slowly, but surely, "moving south". (Don't give away that parka just yet.)
* As a member of the 2005 University of Minnesota National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) Team, Shannon helped create an integrated marketing and communications plan for a teen branded Yahoo web site. This advertising campaign was ranked 7th in the nation and received recognition at the 2005 AAF National Convention.
* Shannon served as the leader of the 2006 University of Minnesota NSAC team.
* Under her guidance, the team went on to win their regional competition where they were awarded an invitation to the national competition.
