
Rose's career includes business, community, professional and academic facets. Over the years, she has helped hundreds of organizations, from entrepreneurial start-ups, to international conglomerates, to vital non-profit groups tap the power and potential of public relations. Her client involvement spans a variety of industries and strategies - from crisis communications and spokesperson coaching, to business and PR counsel.
In 2006, Rose formed Risdall McKinney Public Relations. From the start, Rose assembled an impressive team, advocated a results-that-matter approach that correlates PR activities with clients' business objectives, and turned a profit. A member of the Risdall Marketing Group LLC board of directors, her vision was the catalyst for reorganization of the Risdall agency in 2007, now comprising 14 separate divisions.
Prior to forming Risdall McKinney, Rose was vice president at Karwoski & Courage Public Relations, an Omnicom affiliate. Adding to her leadership experience, Rose headed the public relations department at the Foley Group (formerly Foley Sackett). She started her career at Miller Meester.
As an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan State University, Rose teaches several marketing-communications courses. Students and faculty credit Rose with creating a hands-on, real-world curricula that taps a vast network of industry experts and engages teams to create mock PR plans for local organizations.
As president of Minnesota PRSA in 2007, Rose launched a significant business-community initiative. She worked across the membership inspiring students and new practitioners, as well as re-engaging leaders and past presidents with PRSA's mission. In 2008, PRSA appointed her to its National Volunteer Leadership Continuum Task Force. She is a member of the PRSA Counselors Academy.
Rose has served numerous community organizations: Minnesota Zoo, Junior League, The Woman's Club, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and Salvation Army. She's part of Women Presidents' Organization, a business consortium providing support and counsel for industry leaders in manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, retail and many other industries.
PRSA, IABC, CIPRA, SABRE and PR Week have recognized Rose and her teams with over 50 industry and business awards. In 2006, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal recognized Rose with its annual Women in Business "Woman to Watch" award.
