When living in Chicago, Jenny worked for MediaTracks Communications, where she produced and booked a variety of radio media tours and honed her writing skills by helping to draft radio programs and PSAs (including one with "Governor Ah-nold!").
Jenny also gained previous experience working for Kohnstamm Communications in St. Paul. At Kohnstamm, Jenny drafted materials, pitched and ultimately convinced the Food Network program "Unwrapped" to fly to Oregon and film her fish burger client for a "Protein Pack" episode. At Kohnstamm, Jenny also got the same client on NBC’s "Today Show," where she discovered that Katie Couric has a deep aversion to all things seafood.
In addition to the above positions, Jenny volunteered for WTTW-TV in Chicago and sold advertising for the Daily Northwestern, Northwestern University’s on-campus newspaper.
While working at the family business, (Kephart’s Music Center in Decorah, IA) Jenny used her Spanish language skills gained in Costa Rican study abroad to sell a red accordion to a Mexican polka band.
"I have a passion for people, learning, and all things media-related. I hit the ground (and phones) running for clients in order to generate results."
When she is not on the phone working her media sources, Jenny finds time for singing, doing crossword puzzles and traveling.
Jenny has a fraternal twin sister named Elizabeth. "She is, of course, the Danny Devito to my Arnold Schwartzenegger."
Also, although Jenny cannot whistle, she can play a recorder with her nose.
